About David
With the piano chops of Billy Joel, songwriting prowess of Queen, and modern punch of your favorite hits, David writes energetic, imaginative pop rock that breaks the boundaries of what "pop" means. What does that mean? Check out his debut EP and see for yourself!
David wanted to be a performer from the moment he first touched a piano at age 3. His first love was a song called "The Boxer" by Simon and Garfunkel. As he grew, a combination of true passion and the need to show up his older sister made him work hard at the piano, until he was accepted to the New England Conservatory to study piano, voice, and songwriting in the contemporary improvisation department.
David constantly looks for new sounds he hasn't heard before. His influences range from bebop to bluegrass to classic rock to baroque and more. Lately, he's been studying electronic music very seriously, teaming up with local producers to find the next great sound. With all of these influences, David makes pop interesting and new without losing any of the fun and heart.
With the help of producer and engineer Charles Anastasia, along with many others, David recently dropped his debut EP, Gone to the Clouds. It features a wide mix of styles in only 6 songs. Now, he is looking for musicians to help take his music to the streets of Boston and beyond - if you are interested, send him a message!
